Descendants of a prestigious musical lineage from Jaipur, Mosin Kawa (tabla), Shahid Kawa (santur, vocals), and Yunus Kawa (sarangi) carry forward a heritage passed down through generations. Their family devoted themselves entirely to music at the court of the Maharajas of Rajasthan, building an unbroken tradition of master musicians in India. Their father, Ustad Shabbir Ahmed Hussain Kawa, a renowned sarangi maestro, taught them from childhood the art of ragas and the mastery of classical Indian instruments.
Today, the trio blends virtuosity and creativity. Based in France, they collaborate with both Indian and European artists, from Indian classical music to jazz and fusion projects. Together, they perform on major stages in Paris and at world music festivals across Europe, while also teaching tabla, santur, sarangi, harmonium, and Indian vocal traditions — sharing the soul of Rajasthan with audiences worldwide.
